These Lithium-ion battery fire suppression granules are specifically designed to smother and suppress lithium-ion battery fires rapidly. Their unique composition acts swiftly to eliminate the flames at their source, minimizing damage and reducing downtime in your workplace.
Firechief PyroFlow is a new and environmentally friendly suppression agent made from expanded glass granulate. It can be used for firefighting and preventative fire protection. It contains tiny internal pores which form a partially closed cell structure. Since the granulate is 100% mineral-based, it is non-combustible.
There are two products in the range: Active and Passive.
The PyroFlow Active Fire Suppression Granules can be used to fight and suppress fires in Lithium-ion battery cells and flammable metals. It is used once a fire has broken out, effectively binding liquids and filtering gases.
Alternatively, the PyroFlow Passive Fire Suppression Granules can be used as a thermally stable packaging filler when Lithium-ion batteries are present. The granules will melt in the case of thermal runaway, smothering, suppressing, and encapsulating the Lithium-ion battery or batteries.
